Interested in working for a team of people completely redefining how fitness and health care work together? At Peerfit, we’re flipping wellness reimbursements on their head by connecting insurers’ and employers’ wellness dollars to popular fitness studios offering CrossFit, yoga, barre, boot camp, cycling, and more. If working with a team of innovative and driven people who are modernizing how people engage with wellness excites you, look no further than Peerfit.
As a senior data engineer you’ll be responsible for data modeling and ETL design and development for a growing arm of Peerfit’s business. This will include:
- Developing creative technical solutions to business problems
- Gathering requirements for new data solutions
- Understanding the cause and impact of system bugs
You will be joining a growing team of data professionals who are working to bring scalability and maturity to data and business intelligence operations. The ideal candidate should be prepared to take the lead on improving accuracy, automation, and scalability of operational and financial data storage and reporting. Experience working collaboratively across application, infrastructure, and analyst teams is crucial along with discipline performing as a self starter and communicating diligently within a fully remote organization.
You will design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data warehouse systems using ETL pipelines to collect necessary data from our consumer application and various third party data sources. You will model data and validate its integrity to drive reporting, analysis, and forecasting, and must be able to speak intelligently about outcomes to other members of the Peerfit team. You will also work as a peer with our application and infrastructure engineers to ensure proper separations of data concerns are in place system wide, and you will occasionally work with external business customers to securely collect and store member eligibility data.
You will also collaborate with the other functional groups that make up the Product team (Data, Backend, Frontend Web, Native mobile, Design, Infrastructure, and Operations) and with Peerfit’s client-facing teams (Sales, Operations, Finance, Strategy). As a senior member of the team, you will be held to a higher standard of work quality and throughput, and you will be responsible for mentoring other team members, offering guidance and expertise when needed, and helping guide the team's long-term strategy.
