Symphonic Distribution is a 100% independent music distribution and marketing company headquartered in downtown Tampa, FL and with a strong presence in New York City, NY and major music markets around the world. We focus on distributing hip-hop, Latin and electronic music. We pride ourselves in finding the newest, most talented up-and-coming bands, rappers, managers, producers, and labels with promise of developing long careers. The Client Development Associate will work full time from our Tampa, Florida office.
In a Nutshell //
The Client Development Associate will have significant client interaction and be responsible for developing and managing relationships with existing and potential clients by performing direct outreach through personalized emails, direct messages and phone calls. These include “keep-in-touch” contact, education messages regarding our services, introduction phone calls and other types of outreach that eventually lead to pitches and signing clients. This position will engage customers directly and will require a highly motivated individual who is a persuasive communicator and has a “closer” mentality.
What you will do //
Qualify leads from digital campaigns, conferences, referrals, etc. through lead follow-up and direct outreach.
Create and track direct outreach campaigns to include weekly personalized phone calls to current and prospective clients.
Conduct consistent strategic outreach to viable leads, including those generated by Inbound Marketing, Artist & Label Outreach and Client Acquisition efforts.
Work with other departments to develop our story, plan approaches and tailor pitches, signing those clients interested
Work with the Inbound Marketing and Client Marketing teams to develop proposals specific to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives.
Follow up with clients on services sold and educate on other potential services.
Follow up with phone calls on all lost viable leads.
Provide feedback to Marketing and Product teams on potential enhancements based on client feedback.
Participate in strategy sessions and regular meetings as needed to provide feedback on customer experience, contribute to marketing plans and content generation.
What you need to have //
3 years of experience in an inside sales or direct outreach role with a proven track record of reaching out to prospects, quickly developing rapport, and winning business
A “closer” mentality, a high level of motivation to win clients
Confidence presenting information over the phone to clients and business decision makers.
The ability to work quickly and efficiently and maintain various “balls in the air” at once
Solid understanding of business operations, inside sales and the ability to quickly learn software tools.
Active listening skills
High School Diploma or GED
What will set you apart //
Experience using a CRM system (Customer Relationship Management software) like Salesforce, Hubspot, Oracle, etc.
Written and/or oral fluency in Spanish
Experience in, or a deep knowledge of the music industry.
