Sales Intern at Blocklight

About Blocklight Blocklight, LLC is an e-commerce analytics startup that revolutionizes the way small-to-medium size e- businesses run their operations. The first phase of our business is focused on creating the Blocklight Analytics Platform (BAP) to help e-commerce businesses/SMB’s manage their operations and grow their brands with intelligent, affordable tools. The BAP is an all-in-one analytics hub that provides users with highly customizable dashboards, informative business metrics, and tools. About the Position We are seeking interns to support our sales / marketing efforts. The intern will spend 2-4 weeks gaining knowledge of the space and our target prospect. Basic sales training will be provided as well as we want you to feel comfortable in doing sales outreach. Our product just soft-launched, so the intern will be focused on customer acquisition. This involves cold calling new potential clients, client business referrals, or web leads. Provide prospective customers/clients with all services offered, and additional presentations as needed. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to learn. Compensation will be commission-based and milestone-driven. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients
  • Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, references, etc.
  • Maintaining a list/database of prospect clients
  • Presenting and delivering information to potential clients
  • Answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions
  • Working with sales team when closing sales
  • Tracking weekly and monthly performance and sales metrics
  • Closing sales and working with CEO through closing process
  • Requirements and Qualifications
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with
  • potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry – training to be
  • provided
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next

  • Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close – training to be provided
  • Experience / exposure to e-commerce industry a plus
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
